  My boyfriend booked us a table at Blue Serenade for a later Saturday night Birthday dinner. This was our first time here.
From the very first step in we... read more were welcomed by two lovely staff members who served us that night.
The atmosphere, interior, even the music choice were tasteful and really cosy.
Food was excellent! Really tasty, filling portions that match the price (Veg blew my mind! Haven’t had such nicely seasoned veg anywhere else as far as I remember). We both got Crispy Sizzling Half Duck with HOMEMADE plum sauce, mash pot. and veg. I don’t know what else to say here, I was somewhere in cloud 9 after the first bite.
And lastly, the two lovely staff men were really professional, attentive, and pleasant. They made our evening even nicer as both of us are pretty chatty and they did not turn their back on us but joined in on a small conversation making us feel welcomed.
Honestly, I am coming back and I am bringing more people in because everyone has to know and experience this place!!

The amount of prawns will satisfy any seafood lover. The noodles were seasoned perfectly to accompany the korma. Great flavours as always!! It was lovely to see the faces of Blue Serenade smiling. I look forward to getting back to a table for the usual fabulous experience.

My husband and I were looking for a... read more place to enjoy a peaceful Saturday evening while in Castlebar and we came across this place while deciding where to eat. What got our attention was the Maitre D' in front of the restaurant, in a lovely suit, laughing with one of the waiting staff. Both were very well presented. When I see staff being jolly and laughing, is a very good sign. Something reminded me of the good old fashion french restaurants where you go for a treat and this place is nothing but that!
We did not had booking made but we were welcomed and seated like the place was open just for us. The ambiance, the greek'ish decor, the music in the background along with the staff personality and positivity added to the captivating flavored food coming out of their kitcken got us trapped in a fairytale.
I have been in many restaurants but I have never felt like this!

Drinks orders have been taken first and then our food orders. We opted for their australian Sav. Blanc which was perfectly recommended for our Seabass and their Indonesian Special Seafood platter. I simply cannot express in enough words the quality of the food! It was a culinary treat! Yes, they might not have the usual floral decorations on their plates but their food is more sophisticated than in many places we've dined.
We had the pleasure to talk to Peter and Alex and they shared their stories and you could simply feel the passion and dedication they put into this superb establishment. If all businesses would be like this one, we wouldn't have to travel abroad whatsoever! I don't want to get across as being to much, but all I can say is that this place deserves to be pact every single day and I hope that the locals are supporting them for they are a credit to their town! I wish we'd had a place like this in Dublin! Compliments to the Chef and the team! You're all doing a fantastic jjob!

Also, I want to mention that this place not only makes you feel like there's nobody else more important than you, but also makes you feel secure in these crazy times! The tables are well spaced out so we can feel safe and they clean and desinfect very well tables and areas. Things that cannot say about many other places we've been around the country.

Well done to the team! We will definitely come back and we will recommend to anyone this gem! Wishing you the best! Until we see you again!
